You are very good at being real and expressing what's in your mind - what you are sensing. I bet you take great observation notes on the children!

I think you are way too hard on yourself since visiting the Riverfield School. Remember they have been doing this for quite awhile now and it is something that will always be evolving. Your thoughts on laughter and happiness and music with the children is something to be considered. Maybe the teachers at Reggio schools have more talents for writing and the visual arts. Perhaps they need to grow in the language of music. Maybe it is our job to help them grow in that area!?? I think you are already doing child emergent curriculum in nany ways. Maybe that is what we should be calling the Reggio approach instead. Child emergent curriculum can look many different ways. The teachers interests and skills are part of what emerges. You are on the right track. Please reconsider!
TerryTerry Michaelshttp://graylint.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2510896571791514029.post-79912979124042736192009-04-17T21:12:00.000-07:002009-04-17T21:12:00.000-07:00Ok, it is 11:00 and I SHOULD BE IN BED getting rea...Ok, it is 11:00 and I SHOULD BE IN BED getting ready for our concert tomorrow morning in Harrison at 9 am BUT instead I am up and laughing my hiney off...... There's nothing wrong with "guiding" little children, though it may not be ideal according to the peacock people. I love your art by the way. And Randy's art, well, Randy was also in touch with his masculine side that night too. :) Good stuff.Jessicahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05913961343188066131noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2510896571791514029.post-29793512143192362362009-04-17T11:48:00.000-07:002009-04-17T11:48:00.000-07:00Don't go changin..to try and please me..you never ...Don't go changin..to try and please me..you never let me down before.... :)

and i had a whole lotta fun yesterday, just WATCHING what the kids did, without my help. They put on a very nice performance of "We will rock you" and the cool part was that, when other kids heard, they grabbed an instrument and joined in. That was my favorite part of the whole day.Deannahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01898974414857577754noreply@blogger.com
