Sharks, Fish Pigs and Wolves

Today we added a new activity that was very popular...hammer and nails (golf tees) with styrofoam. There was a line all morning to take a whack at it...we will be keeping this going for awhile I think.

In circle time. we discussed again the differences and similarities in the Three Little Fish and The Three Little Pigs. We charted by putting a label on which book we liked the most. The Three Little Fish and The Big Bad Shark won 6 to 2. We also used the sentence starter "After the big bad shark lost his teeth, what did he __________." We got alot of different ideas from going home, to his grandma's, PaPa's, sisters, and going to the dentist. One child said "He went to find the tooth fairy who took all his teeth!" Another child chimed in "Yeah, just like my Grandpa!"

  1. I've never read Three Little Fish--I'll have to find that one.
