Field trip!

Today we are going to the Brian Kinder concert at the library, along with every other child in Siloam Springs, I am sure. We are leaving school an hour before the show to guarantee less chaos for Ms. Beth. We will see how this goes, but the kids are so excited and I know they will have alot of fun. I wonder how they will react to a children's music duo that is not The Kiddos!
This morning outside we watched intently the back hoe, (or bucket loader, as Adam corrected me), smooth out the gravel in the driveway/parking area. It was very entertaining to us to watch the man drop the gravel and smooth it out. Over and over he did this. Adam stood by the steering wheel on the playgroud and drove his own bucket loader, right along with the city worker!
We brainstormed all the zoo animals we could think of during circle time. It is a work in progress, and we decided we can add more animals to it as the week goes on.

WET WEDNESDAY TOMORROW!!!

It's a beautiful morning...

We had a fantastic morning outside. The weather was so mild, I decided we would take advantage and stay out a bit longer. It was so nice. The children play so much better when they are not sweaty and irritable. They enjoyed the fresh sand in the sandbox, riding and racing the trikes and scooters, setting up a pretend garage sale. Trikes for $2.00, scooters for a buck, the prices were rock bottom, I tell ya. It was funny to see them set it all up and wheel and deal.

We came in for circle time, and began our week learning about the zoo. We did our morning message and recapped what we did over the weekend. Some swimming, fishing and other summertime activities were reported. We did two songs off of the Bean Bag Rock & Roll C.D. We sang the Elephant Song and the Monkey and the Alligator off of a Dr. Jean C.D. We read Good Night Gorilla and Never, Ever Shout at the Zoo! We also began working on our books From the Zoo.
tomorrow we will take a field trip to the library to see a Brian Knder concert. Should be a great day!

Volcano!

Today we wrapped up our dinosaur unit with one of my favorite all-time science projects...the baking soda/vinegar volcano! I took pictures of it, and will try to upload them this evening to this post. I did not tell the children what would happen, but asked them to guess. Almost every one of them thought when we poured the vinegar into the volcano dinosaurs would grow. They loves watching the "lava" ooze all over the volcano and all the little dinosaur figures and plants that were in the plastic box. We used a WHOLE bottle of vinegar pouring it over and over, making the volcano erupt more and more. We were missing a few friends today, so I think we may do this again Monday. It was great.
In circle time, we sang did the dinosaur stomp off of the Dr. Jean CD, and sang our dinosaur songs and recited our dinosaur poem. We charted again our favorite dinosaur by writing our name in the column of our choice. During center time, we took turns going from friend to friend to allow them to put a sticker under their favorite dinosaur on our own dinosaur charts. They really like having their own chart instead of one for the whole class. We discussed what would happen if dinosaurs came back, and we thought it would be interesting, but they may be too big for our town.

I think I have officially changed our schedule. It is just too hot to go outside after lunch. We are now going out right after breakfast. The kids really enjoy going out at that time of day, and today is the second day I have done it this way. The sun is not too blazing, and it is still somewhat "cool", if you could use that words these days. We played outside this morning and had another fun time making mud pies. They were carring their pots of mud all over the playground. Then Adam, Jaden, Jaxson, and Whitlee went on a worm hunt. Apparently there are good worms and bad worms. I never knew this. Bad worms are white and short. Hmmm... Adam found a roly poly and it made his day. He was so excited. We found a beehive in the playhouse...yikes! I sprayed it down with the bug spray and they were really wanting to explore the hive. I wonder if it is ever safe to do that. Don't worry, I won't be the one to let your child do it, just wondering about it.

We came in and worked on some of our dinosaur projects. We made a class book called : "If I Were A Dinosaur". Each child got to pick whatever dinosaur they wanted to be, and write down what they would eat and what they would see. They had a great time comparing and reading one another's stories. I am going to make a cover for it and put it in the book area so they can see it whenever that want. Then we pretended to be paleontologists and write about the dinosaurs we had discovered. They got alot of writing practice today! We also had the choice to work on our dinosaur books we began yesterday, and worked on phonological awareness and the letter "/h/". In circletime we compared and contrasted the environment the dinosaurs lived in and the environment we live in. Busy, busy day... who said summer days were lazy?

Wet Wednesday!

It is hot out there...and we all are glad today was Wednesday! We all looked forward to getting outside so we could get wet and have fun!

We started our day in centers. I put out some new dinosaur wipe off boards that I bought last night. They show all sorts of types of dinosaurs and then give the children a grid to draw dinosaurs and create their own. We also played with dinosaurs and the playdough, and got creative in the art center with the colored tape. We made art on paper, bracelets, and all kinds of other things with the tape.

In circle time, we had a good time classifying dinosaurs into different categories. We used pictures of different dinosaurs and the white board to put each dinosaur in the proper column (large or small, carnivore or herbivore, land or air). The children did really well. After we classified the carnivores and herbivores, we looked up the specific dinosaurs in our non-fiction books to see if we could prove what we thought. We learned this is called "research" and we became researchers! We spoke about what dinosaurs eat and where they find food. We learned that they couldn't be too picky about what they ate, and their wasn't much variety. We also learned that carnivores and herbivores had different teeth to help them eat either plants or meat.

After lunch it was finally time to go outside. Sadly, we found a dead bird on the playground. While I think any other day we would have been all over that poor bird, the kids breezed past it on their way to the lawn. They knew what time it was! We did the sprinkler for about 10 minutes while I got the new slip & slide going. They did so good with it. They made a line, took turns, and cheered for one another as they tried to figure out how in the world to slide from one end to the other. They had a great time. Some of them got the hang of it, while others tended to run and flop on it, thus staying put until they wriggled all the way down to the other end. One child crawled like a kitty cat from one end to the other, and we all meowed while she did. To each his own, and I think the whole point was just to get wet. It was fun. After all that, we ate popsicles too! I asked what water activity we should do next week, and they voted for a encore of the slip & slide. I guess it's a keeper!

Mud Pies

Today we tried to beat the heat...literally. I think we may have won. We went outside at 8:30, right after breakfast. They children really played well, and we ended up staying out longer because we were having so much fun. Somehow while playing in the water table one of the children decided to make "pudding" with some dirt and water. Well, that was all it took. We were concocting all sorts of goodies: cake, soup, all sorts of things. Then some of the children busied themselves by using the various kitchen pots and pans and containers to transfer water from the water tub across the yard to a waiting tug boat. When it got full, they would dump the boat back in the water tub and begin again. They did this for a long time. These kids love to play in the water, and are quick to tell ya. Jaden had not said two words to me this morning before she said "Tomorrow's Wednesdaaaaaaay...". Wet Wednesday. Tomorrow. Be there or be square.

we came in to play in centers and cool off for a bit. I had 6 kids today, and all of them played together for a long while making the dress-up room into a pirate ship. They put the table and chairs in front of the doorway to blockade any intruders. I would walk by and stick my head in and tease them with a random "Ahoy!" or "Argh!" and they would giggle histerically. It was cute. Before long the pirate ship must've sunk because I had two giggling children shrieking towards me to show off their fancy dresses. It was Adam and Jaxson. They thought it was so funny, but I reacted just as I would if it were a girl. "Ooooh, are you going to a party? You look b-e-a-utiful!" They kept them on for a long time, I even saw Adam in the listening center with a bright pink taffeta dress and headphones on. I love it when little boys dress up and explore in the dramatic play center.

In circle time, we re-read our newest dinosaur poem, and recited the poem and song from last week. They have those down pat, and I hear them singing them all around while they are playing. In fact Whitlee was singing the song at home last night. Well, singing is a loose term. She was really just repeating the same line over, and over, and over...but hey, at least she know what "extinct" means! We talked about how dinosaurs are hatched from eggs and drew their life cycle on the dry erase board. Then we learned a new song from the Dr. Jean C.D., "Dinosaur Boogie" They really enjoyed stomping, bouncing, and roar-ing right along with the music. We will do it many more times I am sure.

Don't forget about Wet Wednesday tomorrow...it'll be a hot one and playing in the water will be just what we need!

Summer is offically here!

Today was a really good Monday...again I only had 5 children here, so it was still quiet but we still had fun. We are continuing in with our dinosaur theme this week, and we are really enjoying it. We read non-fiction book today in circle time that told us a lot about the dinosaurs and what life was like for them. We also read a follow-up to the book we read last week, The Littlest Dinosaur. We also got out the beanbags and did three songs off of the Bean Bag Rock & Roll C.D. That was a lot of fun and something different for us to do in circle time, to change it up a bit. We discussed what we did over the weekend, and I think we all went swimming somewhere! That's how we know it is SUMMERTIME!

We used dried pinto beans and lentils to glue onto dinosaur shapes to create mosaics. They turned out really well. We also had out our dinosaur stampers and ink pads as well as small dinosaurs to sort and classify in a muffin tin. More dino fun tomorrow!

A Party of 5

Today I only had FIVE little ones with me. It was quiet, but almost too quiet. We miss our friends when they are away. Monday we should have all present and accounted for.
We finished our F-Day projects and they turned out so sweet! I know the daddies are going to get a kick out of them and cherish them forever! We talked about how we were going to give them to our daddies on Father's Day. One child said "Just wait until your dad is sleeping on the couch, and put it by his head. Then, when he wakes up from his nap, he will see it!" Too funny!
We finished out Danny and the Dinosaur week of our curriculum, and read the books we checked out at the library yesterday afternoon. One was full of "life-sized" pictures of prehistoric animals that lived when the dinosaurs did. It was really interesting. One animal's head was so big it needed a 4-page fold-out! The kids really were amazed by this book. We will definitely read it again. We also read and listened to a book before lunch called Peanut Butter and Jelly.
(Can you guess what we had for lunch?)
We had a picnic outside today-it was very peaceful. We ate our sandwiches under the umbrella at the picnic table on the front lawn, and aside from a spider crawling on top of the umbrella, it was perfect. We said hello to the neighbors walking by and the boy walking his dog. So nice that we get the opportunity to do things like that. I am blessed!

Short & Sweet

We had a great day, just now resting before going on our walk to the library to see STOMP.

Hey...no comments have been posted in awhile from my parents. I appreciate your feedback when you read the posts. Please comment as you read so I know I am blogging for someone else's sake rather than my own. Thanks!

Today we all came in to school super excited about our first Wet Wednesday. We played in centers with many interruptions of questions "When will we go play in the water? Can I be the first one to get wet? Are you going to play in the water, too, Ms. Beth? Why will you melt if you get wet?", and so on.

We did an activity called write the room, where we copy vocabulary words onto a paper as we walk around the room to find them. We checked on our fossils from yesterday and found them a lot harder than we left them yesterday. Whitlee found out the hard way that they are no longer bendable when hers broke in her hands.

Adam and Whitlee liked watching Ms. Beth put together the craft we have been working on this week. Lots of questions and learning about how and why a hot glue gun gets hot and why we cannot touch it even when Ms. Beth can. Another teachable moment!

I circle time, we continued learning about dinosaurs, and included a lot of dinosaur vocabulary today and discussed what the words meant. They surprise me with all they can remember even if I have only mentioned it once or twice. We read The Littlest Dinosaur, and Piggy and Daddy go fishing. We also listened to Dinorumpasaurus. It had alot of action words in it.

We headed outside after lunch to... play in the water! We were screeching and shrieking so loud that Ms. Gloria came out of her house next door to see what all the fuss was about. We hooked up the sprinkler, and had three buckets to be filled over and over again. We also had three big water squirters we took turns with. It was alot of fun, and the hour flew by so fast. I asked them what they wanted to do different next time and they said "nothing"! I think I will take that as a successful first waterplay day!

Rainy Day toys

Well, the rain was with us this morning, and the sun did come out, but much to our dismay it did not dry up the playground enough to go outside. We instead had lots of fun playing with our rainy day toys. Ms. Beth brought a game from home called Cranium Hullabaloo. The kids really had fun, and celebrated after each round no matter who won. It is a game that requires us to listen and follow directions to different points all around the room, all the while spinning, crawling, dancing, and acting like animals and playing pretend musical instruments. The hour flew by, and aside from the sand tub which held 10 tiny dinosaurs to be dug out, there was not much else being played with. I'll leave it here for the rest of the summer because if there is another rainy day, I know they will want to play it again.

We worked on our special Father's Day craft this morning. I am working on it in steps to avoid any secrets being spoiled too early in the week. I know, it's inevitable, but at least I can try to keep them guessing what it will turn out to be! We played in centers, and on the manipulative tables we had out lots of dinosaur stampers as well stencils to create dino-rubbings and little dinosaurs with patterning cards and a puzzle.

In circle time, we re-read Danny and the Dinosaur, paying more attention today to the details in the illustrations we missed yesterday. How many children are riding on the dinosaur's back, is the dinosaur taller than the building, etc. We created a dinosaur web on the dry erase board showing all we have learned about dinosaurs so far. We will keep it up and keep adding to it throughout the week. We discussed the concept of the term "long, long ago" and just how much time that really is. We decided it was before there were people o the Earth. Adam also concluded it was "before there was water and people had to us the water pump to take baths outside" while Jaden thinks it was when her mom was a little girl...yikes. Sorry, LuAnna.

Another quiet Monday

We had two absent today, so it was quieter than usual, but we had a great day.

We began our study dinosaurs with the book Danny and the Dinosaur. The children really seemed to enjoy this book in circle time. We also read a similar story, If I Had A Dinosaur. We learned about "carnivores" as meat-eaters and "herbivores" as plant eaters as well as the term "extinct". We discussed that we will not see dinosaurs at the pet store, zoo, or circus. We will see their bones at a museum, but we may never see a live one. Ms. Beth hasn't seen one alive, or our mommy and daddy, or our grandparents, etc. Tough concept to grasp, but we are working on it.
We also listened to a Father's Day book and began to plan our gifts for our dads.

During center time most of the children made a picture using all sorts of dinosaur stamps. Ms. Beth posted those on the wall for us to admire. We also got out the small dinosaur figures and patterning cards, and the hammer and tees were requested about halfway through the morning, so those were available. Jaxson and Adam had fun building with the wood blocks all around the room (I think they used every single one!) and there was a serious game of hide and seek going on this morning.
When we went outside, Adam helped to water all the flowers and clean out the sandboxes. We filled up the paint buckets, and Whitlee had a lot of fun "painting" all sorts of places all around the playground. Then Adam set up a bike wash as the trikes came by he would ask "Can I wash your bike?" after meticulously cleaning every millimeter of the bike with a paint brush, he would say..."you owe me fifteen hundred." Seriously?
We are looking forward to waterplay on Wednesday. I heard alot of the children talking about it today. It will be fun. I think we may do a full on bike wash that day, bubble and all! Free, of course!;)

Singin' in the rain

Today was full of excitement...

I purchased that materials to make the tie-dyed shirts and we made them this morning during free-choice center time. The kids really got to do this project by themselves...it is very simple. They turned out great...very vibrant and colorful, and the kids were so proud of what they had done. This took up alot of time this morning, so we went outside as soon as we were done because it looked like rain was coming and we wanted to get some outside time in before the storms hit. We played outside for awhile before it began to rain. The great thing is, there is so much tree cover over the play area the although it started to rain, we got to stay outside. I even let the kids play on the front lawn in the rain. I looked over and there was Sharae with her arms out and eyes closed, spinning around and around, so happy to feel the rain coming down. We stayed outside until the lightening and thunder began, and then came in for circle time. We read two of the three non-fiction books that we checked out from the library yesterday. A House for Hermit Crab and a book about an aquarium. Then we listened to The Biggest Thing in the Ocean. We had a long discussion about the weather, about what makes the sound of thunder and what color lightning can be. Another great week, and looking formward to next week!

Our First Outing

Today began with much excitement about our "field trip" to the library. I kept getting asked "Is it time to go to the library yet?" As hard as it was, we played in centers for a bit, and then had circle time before we left.
This morning I asked Debbie to preheat the oven before I got to work so I could bake some biscuits for breakfast. I got to work and she had turned the oven on, but there was no heat...uh-oh. So as I was going to throw away the biscuit dough I had put in the pan, I thought. "maybe the children can play with this..."and they loved it. Just using a different substance rather than playdough can awaken their interest in using the rollers, cutters, and other tools that are normally passed by. We put the golf tees and hammer out again, but they were challenged to pull the tees OUT that had been hammered in yesterday. Jaxson did well using the claw part of the hammer to pull the tees out enough to where he could pull them out with his fingers. It was interesting how many of them lost interest in the activity when they realized they had to pull the tees out first!

Before circle time, I put a National Geographic shark movie in the DVD player to be playing in the background with no sound. Can't beat the chance to see a real shark on screen instead of a illustrated one in a book! In circle time we read "Smiley Shark" and listened to Clifford's Day at the Beach. Then I sang a few songs from Take Me Out of the Bathtub, a book of silly songs with familiar tunes. They are cute and fun to sing for the kids, and they even tried to sing along after recognizing the tune.

Then it was time to head to the library. The children did so well walking and holding hands with their buddy. We got to the CROWDED library just fine, and they filed in to find a spot on the carpet. They sat so well and listened to the short introduction to the Summer Reading Program, and then the instructions on how to make a tie-dye shirt. It is a really simple way using plastic cups, rubbing alcohol and sharpie markers that I had not seen before. After seeing the mass amount of children that were heading outside to the tables to tie-dye, I decided it would probably be best for our group if I went this evening and purchased the supplies and brought them tomorrow to do the tie-dyeing here at school. Much better for me, and less competition and stress for the kids, I think. So we headed into the Children's Area of the library, and waited for all the others to go outside before we attempted to make it outside and across the bridge to the park. We found 3 non-fiction books about ocean animals, and checked those out to read tomorrow to finish our 2 week ocean study. We saw some old classmates, as well, and were very excited about that: Katie Davis, Elliot, and Clara!!! We played at the park for a bit and then headed back to school. We did so well, we got treated to Popsicles while Ms. Beth prepared lunch. It was a GREAT day!

Sharks, Fish Pigs and Wolves

Today we added a new activity that was very popular...hammer and nails (golf tees) with styrofoam. There was a line all morning to take a whack at it...we will be keeping this going for awhile I think.

In circle time. we discussed again the differences and similarities in the Three Little Fish and The Three Little Pigs. We charted by putting a label on which book we liked the most. The Three Little Fish and The Big Bad Shark won 6 to 2. We also used the sentence starter "After the big bad shark lost his teeth, what did he __________." We got alot of different ideas from going home, to his grandma's, PaPa's, sisters, and going to the dentist. One child said "He went to find the tooth fairy who took all his teeth!" Another child chimed in "Yeah, just like my Grandpa!"

It's getting warmer...

Today we continued exploring the ocean world and sharks.

During Circle time, we played "If your name is on the plate" game and did our exercises with the help of our music and movement CD. We read Three Little Fish and the Big Bad Shark and also listened to the Three Little Pigs. We then made a T-chart to compare and contrast the stories. We found a lot of similarities between the two. We also read 5 Little Sharks Swimming in the Sea

We sorted sea shells, and also used sandpaper to create a shark rubbing. Some children made more than one. There was a lot of beauty shop play going on today, and some spectacular "do"s coming out of the dramatic play room. Amelia was absent today, but Adam came back from vacation, and he was busy reuniting with friends all day. I think Jaxson was especially glad to not be so outnumbered!

MMMonday!

Muffin Tin Monday!

Today was our second week of ocean fun...this week we will focus on sharks. We read The Three Little Fish and the Big, Bad, Shark. It is very similar to The Three Little Pigs. W e will discuss those similarities tommorow some more.

We played with seashells in play dough, and pressed them to see what imprint they would leave behind. We exercised during circle time with a neat C.D. Ms. Beth found.

We also learned a new ocean song that we will practice this week.

We played outside in the warm weather after lunch, and are very thankful for the water bottles Mr. Randy left for us!

5 Little Fishies

I only had five kiddos today...one on vacation, one sick, and one I never heard from, so I assume she was just taking a day off. It was one of those days when I wonder why I am getting paid to do this job. It is so much fun. I have had alot of those lately.

We wrapped up our week of Over in the Ocean. We used dry oatmeal to add texture to the octopi we glued and stapled together. I saw alot of teamwork trying to use the stapler. Amelia and Mykah were really confident in using the stapler, so they helped Sharae and Jaxson. It is so cute to hear them be "teachers". "Be careful...good job buddy!" in little shrieks. Very sweet. We put the oatmeal octopi on the ocean mural along with our Rainbow fish from earlier this week.

In circle time, we pretended we were swimming at the bottom of the ocean and found a treasure chest! What would be inside? We charted our responses...they varied from gold to gold candy to Hannah Montana stickers. We also read The Bravest Fish.

At lunch, we were all washed and sitting at the table, and a thought struck me: "This is the perfect day, perfect lunch, perfect amount of children to have a picnic!" We picked up our plates and carried them outside. We sat at the picnic table under the umbrella and had our lovely little lunch. What a great idea, Ms. Beth!

Welcome Sunshine!

Today was another day with only 6 kiddos...not so quiet, though. This morning we had a serious game of hide and seek. The only problem we encountered was that everyone wants to hide, leaving no seekers. We got it straightened out, and played for along time.

To continue with our ocean week, in the manipulative center we had the opportunity to measure and record different ocean animals: jellyfish, seahorse, starfish & shark. We also had a ocean matching game and sorting and classifying seas shells according to size, type, etc.

In circle time, we did the Macarena Month song and I am proud to say that we have it mastered...in less than a week! Smart kids, I tell ya! We read The Fish Who Cried Wolf, and played another couple of rounds of Fish, Fish, Shark. We brought back the Name on the Plate game, and backwards name game. We also charted the creature in the ocean that are the biggest, smallest, meanest, etc.

We played outside and had a good time on the front lawn with the beach balls. Ms. Beth also bought a new butterfly/bug catching net, but all we caught was a Jaxson. We decided he was a bumble bee.

It's Raining, It's Pouring...

Who says rainy days can't be fun? We had so much fun playing inside today!

This morning during free choice centers, we had alot of dramatic play going on. We only had 6 children here, so it was great they all got a chance to play TOGETHER! Guess what they played? School! haha At some point, Sharae got her name changed to "Sharesa" (rhymes with Teresa) by Mykah. I am guessing Mykah was the teacher. Then they switched to playing house, and while you would think with Jaxson being the only boy, he would have been elected the father...nope! The dog. He crawled all around barking and panting. Later Jaxson and Sharae discovered the mini fishing pole in the water tub. It has magnets that help catch a crab, seahorse, and octopus. They were thrilled to catch and release those ocean critters. We worked on our In the Ocean books this morning, and used watercolors to paint fish that we will bedazzle this afternoon like the Rainbow Fish we read about.

During circle time, we got look at sea animals and discuss how they protect themselves. We also explored sea shells both big and small and talked about how they can protect smaller ocean animals. We took a survey of what ocean animal we would be if we had a choice and why. If we were in the ocean, we would have 3 fish, 2 sharks and a dolphin in our class!

After lunch we got out the rainy day toys and were very excited to play with them. We got to play hopscotch, bowling, pogo ball, beanbag toss, stilts, and in the sandbox Ms. Beth his ten teeny-tiny fish we had to try to dig out.

Lots of fun, but hope the sun comes out tomorrow!

Rain, rain, stay away!

It is not often that we get the best of both worlds, but today we got rain AND outside playtime! We headed out early to try to beat the rain, and apparently it had been sprinkling before we went out, because water was dripping from the leaves of the trees. We did not care, though! Ms. Beth got us new buckets and paint brushes, so we had a great time "painting" the sidewalk, playhouse, and outside toys all around the playground. We also got new three new beach balls that were fun to toss around and throw to each other on the front lawn. We did a spray painting activity on the fence with a big piece of paper that we sprayed with blue, green and turquoise to create an ocean scene for tomorrow's art projects.

We came back in to have our circle time. In circle time, we did the Tootie-Tah song, and the Months of the Year song. We played two games of Fish, Fish, Shark, and read The Clumsy Crab, Water, and One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish.

After lunch, we did a science "experiemnt" to guess what would happen to the capsules Ms. Beth bought at the store if we put them in water. We will soon see whose predictions were correct!

Sunny Monday

Today was great! We began our new week of "Over in the Ocean". We played this morning, and enjoyed some new water table toys: different colored dolphins to catch, sort, and count. In circle time, we read 3 books about different kinds of fish and a fish counting book. We charted what we think we would find in the ocean and are going to compare it to what we learn this week. We recapped what we did over the weekend as well. After nap we will sort and classify animal flashcards that Ms. Beth puts all around the classroom.

Some of the children made more funoodle creations, and two girls discovered and explored the magic of a hole punch.

Adam is gone this week, so Jaxson is our only boy. So far, he is doing fine, but we will see how it goes as the week progresses!

While we were outside, Jaxson, Whitlee and Sharae went all around the yard watering the plants. The others liked to splash in the water that collected on the walkway. Some of us got quite wet..."on accident" they claimed. I think we may be ready to start our Wet Wednesdays soon! I will send home a note regarding that later this week!
